The ISNZ Early Childhood Education Seminar provides valuable professional learning opportunities to those working in preschools and early learning centres.

ISNZ is working with a range of speakers with many years of experience and industry knowledge, with their expertise we look forward to offering a relevant, current and topical seminar.

Simpson Grierson will share key insights in Legislation for Early Childhood Education. Simon Cottle from the Teaching Council shall provide an overview and updates on the transition from Appraisal to Professional Growth Cycle for Principals and ECE professional leaders. The Ministry of Education will present an overview on the progress of the Education Work Programme. The Education Review Office (ERO) will discuss the process involved in the review of Early Childhood Education Providers. Viv Shearsby from Evolution.ece will draw on the early childhood curriculum and showcase how assessment approaches and practices are grounded in a holistic, play-based learning context. Bianca Smeekes from Neurospark will focus on how we can build resilience, protect ourselves from burn out and improve performance through leaders prioritising self-care.

This seminar will also provide our early childhood educators with an opportunity to network and to gain an insight into shared best practice in this pivotal stage of a child’s learning.
